Comcast Class of the Month

Our children are our
future!

At young ages, they learn
important
life skills and
activities that will hopefully
carry them into and throughout
their adult life.

The Class of the Month Award
is a program that will highlight
and reward local 1st-8th grade
classes throughout the 7 school
districts in Washington County.

The purpose of The Class of
the Month Award program is to
celebrate our local school-children
and award them for very positive,
constructive accomplishments!
It can be for something done within
theirown class…or to better their
school, their community,
for a local charity, and so on.

Besides the obvious benefits to our
children, The Class of the Month
Award will also instill a sense of
pride, teamwork, and competition
in our classes and young people.

RESPECT…INTEGRITY…HONESTY…
COMPASSION…RESPONSIBILITY…
COURAGE… CIVIC PRIDE and
COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION
are some of the characteristics
The Class of the Month project
looks for…and rewards!

More about the Comcast Class of the Month:

In continuing with our local emphasis, AM 1360 KUIK in
Washington County is proud to continue our Class of the Month Project for the 2008-2009 school year.

The Class of the Month Project is a program that recognizes local kindergarten through 8th grade classes for representing traits that help themselves, their class, their school, and their community.  These traits include honesty, responsibility, respect, compassion, integrity, courage, and civic participation and patriotism.  We know that you have great kids doing great things and that is why we want to recognize these young people and their remarkable accomplishments.

KUIK will announce the Class of the Month on air for  a month letting the community know the fantastic things your students are doing. They will also receive a pizza party and an award. Their picture will be put on our website along with an MP3 so the community can have another way to see and hear it.

We understand that it is a busy time of year and teaching children is your number one priority, but what better way to show the community how wonderful your students are while also acknowledging them for all their hard work.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact KUIK at 503-640-1360.

We look forward to seeing your nominations and rewarding your classes.
