The Oregon Department of Education has released graduation rates for all public high schools.
The City of Beaverton today announced Tuesday the Allen Blvd. maintenance overlay project will take place from July 6 through July 24. During that time, workers will be grinding and repaving Allen Blvd. from Western Ave. and 92nd Ave. from Scholls Ferry Rd. to Allen Blvd. beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending no later than 6:00 p.m. Throughout the project, Allen Blvd. will remain open to two-way traffic, however, residents should expect some delays.
On June 29, 2009 at 10:43 pm, Tualatin Police responded to a single car crash on SW Grahams Ferry Road at SW Sitka Court, in Tualatin. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, identified as Jose Manuel Hernandez Bailon, 19 years of age, and the passenger, identified as Michael Figueroa, 19 years of age.

Joint patrols of Hillsboro Police Officers and Fire Inspectors will be out in force on Friday and Saturday nights during the July 4th holiday weekend looking for illegal and modified fireworks. Citizens are reminded that Oregon Law prohibits the possession and use of illegal fireworks, defined as those that fly, explode or shoot projectiles. Citizens in possession of illegal fireworks face citations resulting in fines of up to $500.00 per occurrence and possible additional charges of reckless endangering and disorderly conduct.
